1K (Miss Parling) – Thursday
1,2V (Mrs Latham) – Friday
Please send your child’s PE kit on a Monday as, although all year 1 and 2 classes have PE on a Friday, we sometimes have to change days.

Golden star
Well done to our first golden star this school year.
First week fun!
Everyone has settled in to their new year 1 and 2 classes really well. We have done some writing, maths, reading, PE and art! 1K and 1,2V have also had their first swimming lessons.
Beach party
We had a fantastic day at our end of year ‘Beach Party’. There were water fights, beach balls, frisbees, cricket, tennis, football, rugby, snacking and dancing. The sun shone and there were smiles everywhere! Here’s to a happy and healthy summer!
Sports coaching
We enjoyed a special PE session today with the 5/6 children coaching our 1/2 children. We used the track for racing, hurdles and agility ladders, tennis, cricket, football and javelin.
Living and Learning : coping with change and class transitions
There were a few nerves, excitement, apprehension and anticpation before our transition day on Thursday. It all turned out fine and the children were excited to think about the new experiences they will have next year.
PE : ‘Sports Day’ fun
All of year 1 and 2 enjoyed a ‘mini sports day’PE lesson together today. We ran, skipped and carried bean bags.We cheered alot and encouraged each other to be resilient and determined – never giving up!
Living and Learning : I can illustrate happy and healthy choices.
Our whole school homework produced some super examples, including songs, posters, games, a cow (to show a lactose intolerance) and lots of discussions. Children illustrated how they make healthy choices about food, exercise and sleep.
Living and Learning : RSE
Our Living and Learning lessons around relationship and sex education (RSE) have continued. The year 2s have talked about how male and females are different and the year 1s read books and talked about how everyone is unique and different.
Golden assembly – outside!
We enjoyed an al fresco assembly today because the hall be being used. We sang and presented our certificates under the trees.
