Join in Mondays : 1K and 2KN
Thank you to everyone who has come to school for th Join in Monday sessions. We hope you found them helpful, informative and enjoyable!
Counting conkers
The year 1 children have enjoyed using the conkers we collected on our walk to count precisely. They have used ten frames to count them, counting in 10s. Help at home by counting in 10s. 1,2V had 816 in their collection. 1K didn’t have quite as many!
Amazing art
We observed our surroundings closely on our walk around Scholes this week. We have used our observational skills to draw trees. Here are some super examples.
2KN
We would like to let you know that Mrs Wilkins has had her baby. It’s a healthy baby boy.
Mrs Lake will be joining 2KN in the week beginning 21 October 2019 to take over from Mrs Wilkins.
She will be in class before this, getting to know the children and their routines.
We hope you agree that this will be a great addition to our team.
Thank you for your continued support.
Local walk around Scholes
We enjoyed a wonderful walk around Scholes today; taking in the scenery, looking at the trees, collecting conkers and leaves, having conversations, jumping in muddy puddles and spotting an ‘angry pixie’. Thank you to the parents and carers who accompanied us. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Living and Learning : resourcefulness and resilience
In our Living and Learning, we have been talking about the different ways we can be resourceful and resilient.
Thank you for the plants and bulbs!
Thank you for the donations of Winter bedding plants and Spring bulbs. We got a little bit dirty whilst harvesting our potatoes from last year. We then started planting (in the rain). If anyone is able to donate any more, we have lots of room left!
Help needed : plants and bulbs
We are hoping to plant some bulbs, ready for Spring, and hopefully some bedding plants to see us through the Winter (pansies, for example). If you can help, please drop them into the office or any of the year 1 or 2 classrooms. Thank you!
